Voltage is a game that is going to test you mentally and really put your through your paces.

This great game has elements of Tetris as you have to try to create lines of electricity but lining up blocks of conduit.

The basic controls are simple and so is the game play, but it is highly addictive.

As different conduit blocks appear you can rotate them and drop them onto the play zone. You need to line the conduit so electricity can pass from one side of the screen to the other. The image below helps describe this.

The game is packed full of colours and electric effects and the graphics and feel of the game take inspiration from Bioshock.

You can play the game against the clock to really challenge yourself or turn the clock off to enjoy more freedom and thinking time.

Go Go! Biker! Brings biking through Taiwan to your iPhone

Taiwan has always been one of Asia’s must see destinations. Many people find themselves fascinated with the culture and the sights on this island. The island has a magical feel and this is what draws people to it.

 

Taiwan seems like an ideal setting on which to base a game. Well now this has been done and is available in the iTunes app store. The game called Go Go! Biker! and is a superb game for the iPhone that delivers us a fun way to learn about the sights of Taiwan.

 

Go Go! Biker! Is packed full of fun and cute cartoon graphics that have a very Asian look and feel about them. The idea in this game to ride a bike through several great locations in Taiwan, scoring points and collect tools on the way.

 

The game offers three different characters to choose from, there is Lulu, M.J and Kulo.B. You can choose to cycle through any of the 13 great locations, including, Penghu, Siraya, Tri-Mountain and Sun Moon Lake among others. On selecting a location for your bike ride you can read additional info on the famous Taiwan destination.

The simple game play doesn’t exactly mean it’s a simple game to play. You must carefully contemplate your shot if you want to master all 30 puzzles.

To start your Cow Tipping adventure you simply pull back on the slingshot, take aim, and release.

Oh and be sure to keep your eye on the shot clock. You have to complete each level before time runs out in order to proceed to next level.

SimplePhysics Review
The long awaited sequel to BridgeBasher, SimplePhysics revolves around building structures to withstand certain tests – For example, building a skyscraper that will stand up in high wind, building a ferris wheel that will carry people through two revolutions or perhaps building a treehouse that has to hold 5 children? The levels are fun and enjoyable, and will test the brain of everyone from the average Joe to the structural engineers among the masses.

SimplePhysics Review

The app is quick to load and I was struck by how easy it was to build a structure that would stand a chance of getting past the challenges. However, SimplePhysics relies on the saying “An Engineer is someone who can do for a dime, what any fool can do for a dollar.” As so, there are cost limits in place. Your design does not just have to be strong enough, it also has to be cheap enough to beat the level.

However, the game only comes with a few levels, 10 of them to be exact, and a tutorial. It’s a fun game, but it is one that you could possibly blast through in a day or so. The other thing that disappointed me was that unlike BridgeBasher, this game does not have a sandbox mode, which would be entirely possible considering the rather fun “Finger Test”, where you can pull and explode your designs.

Even without these additions, SimplePhysics is a great app for the boffins among our readers. It entertained me as long as it lasted, although I still can’t for the life of me figure out how to get that crane to not break lifting that weight.

But there is another feature and that is the feature that allows you to upload your recordings to their website – And also view and listen too other peoples sleep talking through the app. This is actually, in my opinion, the best part of the app. There are lots of different recordings that people have uploaded. Upload your recording and see if you can make it onto the top ten for your country, or the world.
